Nature’s Presence has been a cornerstone of wellness in Boerne since its founding by Dawn Marie Lake in November 2005. The store became a pivotal part of Mary Lira’s life journey in 2007 after she was diagnosed with breast cancer. Mary, with her doctor’s guidance, chose to integrate natural supplements with her conventional treatment regimen. Her path to recovery began at Nature’s Presence, where she formed a lasting friendship with Dawn Marie.

Mary’s health was fully restored, and the Lira family became devoted patrons of Nature’s Presence. Lance Lira’s interest in athletic fitness and sports nutrition led him to explore more natural supplements as well, to enhance and sustain his optimal health.

In 2017, the store’s legacy continued as Dawn Marie passed the torch to Paula and Ronnie Lyon. As regular customers, the Lira family soon became friends with Paula and Ronnie. When the Lyons decided to return to North Texas to be closer to family in 2021, they enlisted Lance, a licensed real estate agent, to handle the sale of their home and the store. During this transition, Lance and Mary made a life-changing decision to acquire Nature’s Presence.

By March 2022, Lance and Mary Lira proudly took ownership of the store. Their vision was to uphold the cherished local tradition and broaden the store’s product offerings to better meet the evolving wellness needs of Boerne and Kendall County residents. With a commitment to providing quality natural health solutions, Nature’s Presence continues to be a beacon of wellness and community support.
